The International project ‘Restoration of the European Dimensions of Roma Language and Culture’ is carried out in pursuance of an agreement between the Institute for Population and Human Studies at BAS and European Commission, DG Audiovisual Education and Culture: Contrat commun n. 2009 – 2163 / 001 – 001 CU7 MULT7”. Different institutes and NGOs from France, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Bulgaria participate in the Project. It is cofinanced by European Commission, DG Audiovisual Education and Culture and the national budget. Bulgarian team from IPHS received additional financial support from Sofia Municipality – Cultural Programme and Open Society Institute in 2011. The project duration is four years: August 2010 – May 2014. Nine researches and doctoral students from the Department of Demography of IPHS participate in the Project.

The International project ‘Identifying and Reducing Prejudices as a Source of Conflict between Roma and non-Roma Population - Cases of Bulgaria, Italy, Romania and Slovenia Compared’ is carried out in pursuance of an agreement between the Institute for Population and Human Studies at BAS and European Commission, DG Justice: Grant Agreement No.: JUST/2010/FRAC/AG/1154 - 30-CE-0377112/00-32. It is cofinanced by European Commission, DG Justice and the national budget. The project duration is two years: March 2011 – March 2013. Seven researchers and doctoral students from the Department of Demography of IPHS participate in the Project.
